How Can severe Pain In The Lower Back And Leg Be Treated?

my wife has lower back and right leg pain. this has been sort of on-going for about a month or more. She had a Prolia injection several months ago. The pain seems to be becoming more and more of an issue, leading to an unwillingness to walk and problems sleepng at night. She is currently taking Aleve tablets, (3 per day). What else can be done to lessen the pain, or, how much pain is expected with the useof this particular osteoporosis treatment?

Hi,

Such pain does not occur with the injection of prolia. So this does not seem to be the drug. The pain looks to be from nerve entrapment in the spine which is quite common.

The best treatment for this is physiotherapy along with some painkiller and muscle relaxant.

But first we should confirm it by proper assessment and evaluation. May need a scan of the spine.

So talk to your doctor in this regards. Most people get healed in few months with physiotherapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
